Modern technology and traditional dependability are the hallmarks of the Abumatic spincast reel family. We’ve upgraded the drag on the 170 to our ultra- smooth Carbon Matrix™ drag system. An aluminum diecast front cone and machined body are engineered to withstand the test of time. The addition of an oscillating far-cast spool creates an easy-to-use, no-twist line system that comes pre-spooled with 12 lb. Berkley® Trilene® XL® monofilament fishing line.
